EHan Engineering Ltd. is proud to announce the launch of EHAN IAMS—the EHan Infrastructure Asset Management System.

EHan IAMS is a cloud-based, state-of-the-art asset management system designed over the past seven years to provide a complete solution for managing wide-ranging inventories of varied infrastructure assets, from roads and bridges to facilities, water and drainage systems, and every other asset type and class.

Today EHan is launching ehaniams.com, which will serve as the online digital portal for EHAN IAMS clients to fully manage their complex portfolios of infrastructure assets.

EHAN IAMS was developed with functionality, reliability, and security front and centre. Our history of providing asset management services to our municipal and provincial partners informed the development of EHAN IAMS, which has been built to be fully accessible, convenient, customizable, and functional for all assets, from data collection to modelling to long-term budgeting.

EHAN IAMS’ functionality includes, but is not limited to:

Cross Assets Analysis (Enterprise Asset Management)
Assets Visualization (ArcGIS)
Flexible asset inventory equipped with customizable dashboard and reporting capability
Analysis at asset level and portfolio level
Conduct budget simulation and allocation based on user input, life cycle programming, or the “Do Nothing” scenario
Conduct budget allocation optimization for various scenarios, including cost minimization and benefit maximization
Ability to develop practical implementation plan (projects) based on the budget allocation analysis
Conducts optimization and produces implementation plans automatically using AI and machine learning, allowing any team member to use the system to generate accurate information regardless of their own knowledge or skill level
Remote accessibility, and accessible by multiple users simultaneously
User-friendly and intuitive
Data integration (upload/download) to Excel & PDF

EHAN IAMS is hosted in multiple locations in Canada for reliability and redundancy. The model utilizes Amazon relational database services and scalable elastic container services with data encryption and access control via IAM role policies and third-party authentication (Amazon Cognito) to ensure security and reliability.

EHAN IAMS’ analysis engine is powered by our in-house artificial intelligence optimization software, which utilizes Genetic Algorithms and Neural Networks to greatly improve efficiency, transparency, and consistency, making EHAN IAMS an essential tool in the asset managers’ toolbox. Our system is fully customizable and easily integrated into any organization’s asset management process and reporting.

EHan Engineering congratulates our founder and president, Dr. Hussien AL-Battaineh, on his election to the position of Vice President/President Elect of Save International, the worldwide governing body for Value Engineering. As a CVS® and long-time SAVE member, Dr. AL-Battaineh brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this important organization. We are proud to support his volunteer efforts in this position and are confident that he will make significant contributions to the field of Value Engineering.

Dr. AL-Battaineh is excited to work alongside incoming President Rob Stewart and the rest of the SAVE Board of Directors to increase membership and ensure that SAVE remains a community of excellence. Together, they will foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, best practices, and thought leadership in Value Engineering.

Dr. AL-Battaineh is passionate about Value Engineering. His work has built EHan Engineering into one of Western Canada’s leading consultant firms providing Value Engineering and related services to a wide range of public and private projects throughout Western Canada.

EHan Engineering is pleased to announce that John Cairns is joining the company as Senior Drainage Advisor. John is joining EHan after spending 40 years with the City of Edmonton, where he managed major efforts such as the Neighbourhood Renewal Program, the High Priority Repairs Program, and various tunneling projects. Adding John’s deep firsthand knowledge of the field to our team will significantly benefit our projects and our clients; we are extremely excited to welcome John to our team!

The Society provides its members education and training, publications, certification, promotional tools, networking and recognition. SAVE also operates a certification program which is globally recognized as the industry standard for competence in the application of the Value Methodology. Mr. Specht earned his certification in May of 2021 through WPiAM (World Partners in Asset Management). This is a significant achievement and underlines Mr. Specht's status as a leader in asset management in Canada.

Dr. Hussien Al-Battaineh has been appointed Director of Western Canada Region of the Value Analysis Canada. Value Analysis Canada (VA Canada) is a professional society dedicated to the advancement of Value Analysis in Canada. It promotes the application of the Value Methodologies in Canada for the benefit of governments, industry, practitioners and society.
